Today in the 45th match of DLF Indian Premier League, Sachin Tendulkar showed his class and scored fifth fifty in IPL. Today’s knock was a special one because Rajasthan Royals had got early wickets and it looked Mumbai Indians are in real trouble. But the master rescued them and that too with style. He scored 89 not out in just 59 balls with 2 sixes and 10 fours. Once again the champ has shown, he is still the best when it comes to cricket be it any form – Test, ODI or Twenty20.

His batting today ensured that Mumbai Indians thrash Rajasthan Royals and cement team’s place in semis.

Mumbai Indians Win – Sachin Scores Fifty In IPL

Today once again Sachin Tendulkar scored a 50 to guide Mumbai Indians to a decent total. In the 25th match of DLF IPL, Deccan Chargers won the toss and invited Mumbai Indians to bat first. Sachin Tendulkar scored a brilliant 50 and then little master showed an excellent captaincy move by opening the bowling attack by Harbhajan Singh. This move worked and Singh got the priced wicket of Gilchrist in the very first over.

Sachin’s cricketing brain has helped Mumbai Indians win one more match in IPL and lead the points tally.

Sachin Takes Mumbai Indians To Victory

Sachin Tendulkar played a captains knock and helped Mumbai Indians to come back on the winning path. Chasing a total of 181 to win against Chennai Super Kings, Sachin opened the innings for Mumbai Indians and gave them an excellent start. He scored 72 runs off just 52 balls and was firm on one end.

Again Sachin proved all those critics wrong who said Sachin is too old to play in T20 format. The kind of form Sachin has shown in IPL so far can help Mumbai Indians lift this years DLF IPL trophy.

Sachin Says No To T20 World Cup

In amidst of the cricket festival that is, Indian Premier League, when all of India is in cheerful mood, today came a heart breaking news from Sachin Tendulkar.

In an interview to a TV channel, Sachin stated very clearly that he will stick to his earlier stand of not playing in T20 world cup so that young talent can get the required exposure. It should be noted that the T20 world cup is going to be held this year in West Indies.

This news came as a shocker to Sachin’s fan who were sure that this time Sachin will bring the world cup for India as he is showing superb form in Indian Premier League. So far Tendulkar has scored 176 runs at an average of 58.66 in 4 games and has thus helped Mumbai Indians to be at top of points table.

Sachin Ensures Mumbai Indians Win Against Kolkata Knight Riders

Today, March 22 2010, in the 17th match of DLF IPL, Sachin Tendulkar was at its devastating best. Chasing a total of 156 to win, the master opened the innings and smashed bowlers to all corners of the ground. Sachin scored 71 runs off just 48 balls which included 10 fours.

Sachin truly played a captains knock and with this win, Mumbai Indians became the number one team in the points tally as on 22March 2010.

Sachin Thrashes Delhi Daredevils

In the 9th match of DLF IPL 2010, Mumbai Indians’s captain Sachin Tendulkar too the charge and played a captain’s knock. From the very first ball he faced, he looked in a superb touch and this transformed into a match winning innings. Sachin brought up his fifty, off just 23 balls with 11 fours, and helped his team set a target of 218 in 20 overs.

Due to a splendid knock by Tendulkar and good show by Tiwary and Rayudu, Mumbai Indians were able to put a huge total and the bowlers also never allowed Delhi Daredevils to score. Thus Mumbai Indians  won the match ny 98 runs and Tendulkar was awarded Man of the Match award.

Sachin May Get Bharat Ratna

Maharashtra government has shown its desire to urge the Indian government to confer the Bharat Ratna, the country’s highest civilian award, on master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. This was told by Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan.

“The state government will take up the proposal soon and then we shall forward it for the consideration of the Centre. He has won the hearts of his countrymen, is idolized in the state and is respected the world over. We feel that he richly deserves the honour of a Bharat Ratna,” Chavan said.

On the other hand Shiv Sena has also raised the voice in support of giving Bharat Ratna to Sachin. Former cricketers Kapil Dev, Ajit Wadekar and Navjot Singh Sidhu also said, Tendulkar deserved the award as he has done a lot for our country.

Moreover Sachin also expressed that Bharat Ratna is a dream for him and if destiny wishes he will get it soon.
