On Wednesday, Sachin decided to bat left handed during the net session. He batted like a baseball game and hit 3 sixes in the space of 20 balls. Yuvraj kept on laughing after a local lad was hit for 3 sixes.
Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj and Yusuf Pathan also displayed some tremendous hitting power. They hit some huge back to back sixes, which also resulted in the breaking of new fixed chairs.
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences decided to confer The Great Sachin with Honorary Doctorate, but he turned down by saying that he is still active in Professional cricket. He added further that he respected their decision. Sachin is still to issue official regret letter.

Sachin created history on 19th of December, 2010 at Super Sport Park, Centurion against South Africa as he became the first man on the planet to score 50 test centuries. He is just four centuries away to become the first man to score 100 international centuries. In scoring his 50th test century, he hit 12 fours and a six.
After scoring a memorable century, he said that he wanted it to do it for his father. He dedicated this one to his father. Yesterday was his father’s birthday. Further, he added, “I don’t know. I am okay. It’s just another number for me. It’s nice. Obviously I can’t say I am not happy, I am happy. But I don’t know how to express this. It’s good that it has come. Hopefully it doesn’t stop, it continues.”.

Sept 3, 2010, Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar added one more feather in his cap as he was conferred the Indian Air Force’s honorary rank of Group Captain due to his great achievements and contribution to the nation on the cricket field.
Setting more records, the little master became the first sportsperson and the first individual having no aviation background to be conferred a rank by the Indian Air Force.
In a ceremony held at Air Force auditorium in Delhi, Air Chief Marshal P V Naik inducted Sachin Tendulkar into the Air Force as its brand ambassador. Once captain of Indian cricket team, Sachin now will be known as Group Captain of IAF.
Sachin thanked IAF for showering this honor and said “It’s a great pleasure and honour to be honoured by IAF. It was wishful thinking and it has come true today. I’m extremely proud to be a part of IAF. I want to urge the youth to join air force and serve the nation. So dream, because dreams do come true.”
